You are not alone

Community, Connection & Co-Regulation

Supporting a child with a PDA and living with a PDA profile can be deeply rewarding, but it can also feel incredibly isolating. We get it, because we've been there. In addition to our incredible speaker presentations, the Journeys Retreat offers the chance to be surrounded by people who truly understand. Together, we'll share stories, learn from experts and each other, and build meaningful connections with others walking a similar path. Here are some of the ways that we do that.

Coffee Chats

Just like our biweekly virtual chats, coffee chats at the retreat are an opportunity to dive into the topics that are foremost on your mind. Get your most pressing questions answered by seasoned PDA parents who have been through it all.

Community Builders

Don't worry, no forced icebreakers here! Community building is about creating opportunities for authentic connection, learning about each other, and sharing your personal goals for learning and growth. We know that everyone engages in different ways. All activities offered are low-key and allow you to choose how you engage with others.

Community Dinners

Each night of the retreat, we'll coordinate a group dinner at a local restaurant and help facilitate shuttles/rides. These are opportunities to spend time getting to know others in the Journeys community outside of the retreat space. Dinners are pay your own way, and are completely optional.
